Tonight was a good night
The Chicago Bears and their trademark defense shut down the 4th quarter magic making Lions on Monday night 13-7.
The lions seemed to get overwhelmed by Chicago's Defense, as a result, they turned the ball over 4 times (3 fumbles, 1 INT) The Bears improve to a healthy 5-1 record in a strong NFC North while conference foe Detroit falls to 2-4.
Chicago leads the NFC North, followed closely by the surprisingly Vikings of Minnesota ( 5-2) and then the surging Green Bay Packers who started the year 2-3 before stringing together 2 straight wins to pull to a record of 4-3, while Detroit follows with a record of 2-4 after last nights close game.
Expect the NFC North to be one of the more dynamic divisions, and possible have a team that has a legit chance of winning the Super Bowl this year.

So Much For a close game.
I though that the Panthers would be able to take advantage of the giants injuries, Got to congratulate the giants on having such great depth when they need it.
The quarterbacks were well matched but Eli Manning had the better night going 27 of 35,throwing for 288 YDS, 1 Passing TD and 0 rushing TD'S. Cam Newton threw 16 of 30, 242 YDS, 1 rushing TD 0 passing TD's. He was sacked 3 times by the giants defense.
The Giants rushing attack was the real difference a combined 125 yards and 2 TD'S compared to the Panthers 60 total rushing yards and 0 rushing TD'S
The giants were able to take advantage of their kicking game.
Lawrence Tynes went 5 of 5 with a game long of 49.
Lawrence Tynes went 5 of 5 with a game long of 49.
The Panthers never kicked a single field goal

To start off Week 3 We have the Explosive Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers (1-1) taking on Eli Manning and the New York Giants (1-1)
Eli Manning with 723 Passing YD'S and a 62.7% completion rate leads the #1 passing offense against Cam Newton, who has 2 passing TD's along with 1 rushing TD.
With the Giants beat up offense, I think Cam Newton and the Panthers will take the victory in a close game.
