Well, this is certainly a rough subject. The Penn State allegations, and sanctions are a thing of the past, and no matter how you feel about the subject, the team is on the field playing football.
The stadium is packed this afternoon, in Penn States home football game against Temple. It cannot be easy for any team to go through what these players have had to face. However, this team continues to play hard.
With a core of seniors that decided to stay, Penn State has given every opponent a good fight. I think the fact that so many players chose to stay when given the opportunity to transfer, shows the dedication the players have to the program. Something had to have stuck with them in the previous three years that made them want to stay. Maybe it's tradition? Or the teammates? Only the players know why they chose to stay, but I have high respect for those who chose to remain with the team.
After recording its first win last week against Navy, Penn State is on its way to another win vs. Temple. I admire the heart that these kids are playing with. There is no denying the character that those on Penn State are displaying on and off the field, as the University tries to move forward.
